Introduction - Shannon Sutherland-Dadds - Aelira Fortis

Hi everyone, I’m Shannon, founder of Aelira Fortis. I’m currently based in Johannesburg and building toward establishing the company on the Isle of Man.

Aelira Fortis is a people-first technology company focused on using AI and thoughtful product design to help people get more from everyday life. I’m currently developing two products: Fenree, a family growth platform designed to help families build positive habits, recognise effort and grow together; and Fayre AI, a local companion designed to help people discover, understand and engage more deeply with the places where they live and visit.

I’m a Google Cloud engineer by background, so I’m very much a builder as well as a founder. Both products are already in active development, and I’m now starting to focus more seriously on validation, partnerships and the commercial side of building Aelira Fortis.

The Isle of Man is where I hope to establish and grow the company, so I joined Launchpad because I’d like to get to know the Island’s startup and business community well before I arrive. I’m particularly interested in learning from local founders, understanding where Aelira Fortis could contribute to the Island, and meeting people who might see opportunities to collaborate as the products develop.
