Building a Pre-Seed Start Up
21 July. Four Isle of Man Founders. Four stories of what it actually takes to build a pre-seed startup.
On Tuesday 21 July, we’re bringing together four people at Launchpad who have seen the earliest stage of building from very different angles: founding, scaling, investing, operating, and community building.
Donovan Dall
Web3 Operator & Co-founder of Nuffle Labs, a NEAR Foundation spin-out focused on modular blockchain infrastructure, which raised a $13M seed round led by Electric Capital.
Joshua Sinclair
Founder of SkinScanner.gg, a search engine and price aggregator for Counter-Strike 2 skins, supported by a Discord community of nearly 20,000 CS2 players and traders.
Jennifer Houghton MBE
Co-founder of Annexio, which grew into an international gaming company regulated across four jurisdictions and created more than 80 jobs on the Isle of Man.
Jonny Quirk
Ex-Deliveroo, ex-Yelp, ex-WeWork, startup accelerator leader, coach, and founder of DoSomethingElse.AI.
We’ll cover where good startup ideas come from, how to know if you’re solving a painful enough problem, how specific you need to be about your first users, how early growth actually happens, what product-market fit looks like before the numbers are clear, and what investors look for before there is much proof.
Hosted by Massimo Formby and Percy Hampton.
Tickets are £6.18, with all proceeds helping fund more local startup events.
Only 25 seats available.
